Courses for Parents

I offer a full range of courses and one to one parenting coaching to help you build confidence and strengthen your relationship with your child.

 

 The following courses can all be delivered flexibly to meet the needs of your family, you can do a course individually, with a partner or family member or join a group of parents.

​

All the courses below are evidence-based parenting programmes. Evidence-based parenting programmes are important because they aim to ensure that support provided to families is based on sound theory, research, and experience of what works best.

One to One Parenting Coaching

The Incredible Years

For parents of children 2-8yrs.

 

This parent programs focus on strengthening parent-child interactions and attachment, reducing harsh discipline and fostering parents’ ability to promote children’s social, emotional, and language development. In the preschool and school age programs parents also learn how to encourage school readiness skills and are encouraged to partner with teachers so that they can promote children’s academic as well as social skills and emotional literacy.

For parents of children 2-12yrs

 

Parents actively participate in a range of exercises to learn about the causes of child behaviour problems, setting specific goals, and using strategies to promote child development, manage misbehaviour, and plan for high-risk situations.

For parents of teens 11-16yrs

 

Parents actively participate in a range of exercises to learn about the influences on adolescent behaviour, setting specific goals, and using strategies to promote a teenager’s skills development, manage inappropriate behaviour, and teach emotional self-regulation. Parents also learn how to plan around risk-taking behaviour and risky situations.

Triple P Teen

Triple P Stepping Stones

For parents of children with disabilities and elevated disruptive behaviour

 

Stepping Stones Triple P has been evaluated with families of children with a range of disabilities (e.g. intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy) and elevated levels of disruptive behaviour.

 

Parents or caregivers of children with a disability (up to 12 years) who benefit from this programme are those that require or are interested in learning a broad-based range of parenting skills to promote child development and to manage challenging behaviours. The programme is appropriate to assist parents to prevent the development of problem behaviour or to change problem behaviour if it is occurring.

Triple P Fear-Less

The Fear-Less Triple P programme is designed to help parents become the best possible role models for children learning to manage their anxiety. Parents learn to; 

​

Support their children to become more emotionally resilient and better able to express and manage uncomfortable or difficult emotions.

 

Develop a toolbox of strategies for helping children manage their anxiety more effectively. Review and refine how they respond to their child’s anxiety to build their child’s emotional resilience.
